This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
The Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows), is a narrow stone alley in Jerusalem. An early morning walk down this famous street, traditionally regarded as the route along which Jesus was led to the cross, became an intensely moving journey through time.
The seeming closed rejection and hostility of as yet unopened roadside stalls and shops.
Ancient stone walls from which it is easy to imagine echoes of a climactic past.
People waving palm branches acclaiming Christ as their king.
People who furiously demanded His death.
Look closely at the green door and you will discover His hunched shadow, His heart cry etched in the sign above.
Present reality is also expressed, in the sky His face appears. In the walls His hands reach out inviting us to be His friends and followers.
Overhead, etched in a flying buttress, stands inescapably the promise that one day soon He will come again to reign as King.
If you enjoy finding semi hidden imagery, take a look at Come Lor...
About Graham Braddock
Most of my paintings are executed in oils, often over the top of other media. Many are visual stories that contain partially hidden words or imagery where the homespun and the familiar become symbols of timeless truth. If you get inspired and encouraged by my art- If you can glimpse the great, overarching purpose behind life and creation- If you can catch facets of the wonder and beauty of God's character- If you can begin to see beyond the present- - Then my paintings have succeeded! Bio Notes: Graham Braddock (born in New Zealand, 1942) showed marked artistic ability from early childhood, trained as a graphic artist, then...
