I was thrilled to discover your website and find that you were offering multiple products with the image of the Filben Maestro as my grandfather, William Filben, was the inventor. I will be framing this photo for my home and anticipate ordering many other items in the near future for my large extended family

When I saw this photo of my hero, I had to obtain it because as you can see in the photo, I have Babe Ruth when he was young & strong initially with the Yankees. I want to truly thank the artist for his photo!

Terrific concert photo of Madonna back in the '80s. I hope the owner of this series featured in Life Magazine will make more available. They are stunning.

About Guido Borelli
By Debra Argen-Nesta dargennesta@earthlink.net 203-358-9701 Artist Guido Borelli da Caluso was born in 1952, in Caluso, Italy at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Born into an artistic family, (his grandfather was a woodcarver and furniture maker, and his paternal uncle and aunt paint) young Guido first discovered painting somewhere between the ages of 4 to 6 years old. With the encouragement of his family, Guido's first art challenge came at age 13 in the form of a public award. Although he did not win this art award, he continued to make artistic strides, and had his first personal art exhibit at the young age of 17. He received his art training at Accademia Albertina, in Turin, which was founded in 1672, at the special request...

Up the street, Where the blue sign is, was the Gallerie des Gemeaux, where I spent my childhood during the 1954-1965 decade.... It is quite a moving experience to discover this awesome painting that depict the feel of the village. The Fundation Maeght was not there as yet.... The village was populated with the local artisans. Since then it has become the village for the rich and famous to be seen as if it was theirs alone.... It was such a sad pilgrimage in so many ways.... Everyone I knew was dead except for one person with whom I managed to speak about the great era where the writers , painters, cinema artist from the world over came and talked to everyone.... I recall some of them while I was very young.... Le restaurant de la Fontaine (bar sign) was one the hub where everyone was meeting to spend endless evening came to nights to rave on about art and everything ... My dad had kilometres of reel tapes where some of these meets.... We do not stop time, but it is with some nostalgia and a deep sense of loss and sadness difficult to share... Very little history has been recorded as a whole.... Everyone is busy to live their time and make a buck.... Only the Colombe d'Or has pinned on the walls the remains of those forgotten times..... I was somewhat privileged to be able to share my visits with some of my children and life partner .... Thank you Guido to have painted the wonderful painting... A real treat.
