Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

If you are late and miss the ferry, as seen in this photograph, you might as well take a nap. This 1959 Mercury Colony Park Wagon, with its wood grain paneling, looks fitting waiting for the ferry. What was a cool 20 year old family cruiser, with the passing of time now, is almost a 60 year old rare automotive classic rocket finned beauty. Perfect for a vintage Outer Banks Photo with a sand dune topped with sea oats as a backdrop.

James Phillips, Water, wind and waves... My first childhood memories were standing on the bluff, high above the waters of the Chesapeake Bay near our home. The farm we lived on was in Chestertown, Maryland and a mile North of Great Oaks Landing, now Mears Great Oak Landing. Back then, the region was a remote, wild area with a small population of watermen and farmers and most tied to nature to earn their livelihood. Rock Bass (Stripers) was my favorite breakfast and boat captains my childhood heroes. Our family never had the means to allow me to pursue photography, other than using our Brownie camera. I remember my first experience as a child, exploring the Outer Banks of North Carolina with my family captured my imagination. The sand...
